What is processed
This page reads the totals you enter and the transaction rows in the CSV, OFX, or QFX files you choose. It uses the date, amount, merchant, currency, and category to calculate card rewards.
What is not sent
- Statement files or raw rows
- Merchant names, amounts, dates, or card suffixes
- Manual category or merchant totals
- Analyzer results
- Usage tracking based on your statement data
Your spending is not sent to WealthGeist, Firebase, an advertiser, or a card issuer.
Anonymous import diagnostics
When a supported card and statement layout are matched, WealthGeist automatically sends a small structural summary to help improve future imports. This does not include transaction details.
The summary can include:
- The card you selected and the CSV or OFX format
- The detected importer and sanitized column names
- The suggested or corrected field matches
- Whether spending was positive or negative, a row-count range, and importer result codes
- Structural parser outcome and problem codes
It never includes the filename, raw rows or samples, merchant names, dates, amounts, card digits, reference values, spending totals, or results. Similar summaries are grouped before a human can approve a source-adapter issue. Feedback never changes the importer by itself. Cards entered with “My card isn’t listed” do not send a summary.
Session lifetime
Select “Clear my data,” refresh the page, or close the tab to remove the information from the page. The calculator does not save it in browser storage.
Browser limits
Your browser and operating system may retain a downloaded source file, tab snapshot, or ordinary browser history outside WealthGeist's control. Use a private browsing window on a shared device and remove downloaded statements when you no longer need them.
